The weather module in My UW-Madison was replaced on Thursday, October 15 with a new module. The new module is unable to import preferences from the old weather module, so any cities which had been added to the old module will need to be added again in the new weather module.
The new module is expected to improve reliability and compatibility with My UW-Madison. However, there are a few things to keep in mind while using the new weather module:
- As mentioned, cities which were added to the old weather module will not be imported into the new weather module. You will need to manually add whatever cities you want to view in the new weather module.
- Once a city has been added to the new weather module, it is not possible to change the display of units from standard to metric or the other way around. If you want to change the units which are displayed for a city, you will need to delete the city and add it again with the preferred units of measurement.
