Current and former students can order transcripts through the Office of the Registrar. Transcripts can be delivered to you or an address you designate, or you can choose to pick them up.
Ordering unofficial transcripts
Requesting official transcripts is done three different ways, depending on your current student status and the years you attended the university.
If you have access to My UW-Madison, you can request official transcripts from the Student Center module.
Click on My Academics in the Academics section.
Click on Request Official Transcript.
You will be re-directed to the Office of the Registrar's website to finish the transcript request. Much of your data will be imported from Student Center, making this the fastest and preferred method for current students to order official transcripts.
You can also order official transcripts using the Non-authenticated form at http://ordertranscript.wisc.edu. Requests made using the non-authenticated form will take longer to process.
Former students with records from 1978-present can request transcripts through http://myinfo.wisc.edu. You can login with your 10 digit ID number and PIN. If you have forgotten this information, you may call the Office of the Registrar at 608-263-6612 during normal business hours (M-F, 7:45-4:30), or use the Non-authenticated form at http://ordertranscript.wisc.edu. Requests made using the non-authenticated form will take longer to process.
After login at http://myinfo.wisc.edu, you will be in an application called "Student Center." In the "Academics" section of Student Center, click on the link entitled “My Academics”. Then click on the link entitled "Order Offical Transcripts." You will be re-directed to the Office of the Registrar's website to finish the transcript request. Much of your data will be imported from Student Center, making this the fastest and preferred method for former students to request official transcripts.
Former students with records prior to second semester 1978 must request official transcripts through http://ordertranscript.wisc.edu. Follow the directions for in the link "Place an order without logging in or using a paper form."
