The UW-Madison community relies on access to a variety of IT systems to support its daily work. The page linked below consolidates information about the systems most frequently used and provides links to the appropriate access request forms.
The Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) is a comprehensive computing system that allows UW-Madison offices and departments to access and process information for UW-Madison students. Resource25 is a multiuser client/server scheduling system that provides a unified environment for scheduling and managing classes, special events, rooms, equipment, and event services.
The DoIT mainframe is a high-performance integrated data processing, data storage, and data retrieval system that provides facilities for on-line and batch computing for UW System faculty and staff throughout the state. Data processed on the DoIT Mainframe includes payroll information, statistics, student records and much more.
Shared Financial System (SFS) is designed to provide shared financial applications to UW System campuses. SFS is a Peoplesoft application, running in a 3-tier client server environment (Unix, Oracle, and Windows) with interfaces to selected legacy data on the mainframe. The Wisconsin Data Mart(WISDM) provides data access for queries and reports.
Student Payroll is the appointment and payroll system for student employees. Kronos is a web-based timekeeping system used primarily by students.
Octel Voice Mail is a voice messaging system that gives subscribers the ability to send, receive, review, reply to, save, and distribute voice messages through their Centrex telephone line. EVM works with the UW voice mail system to send notifications and/or copies of new voice mail messsages to your email account.
Bucky Backup is a service based on TSM/ADSM, a client server storage management product from Tivoli/IBM. It is available for most servers and workstations on UW-Madison campus and affiliated institutions.
Facility for Shared Technology and Resources (FASTAR) provides UW institutions a collection of shared technology resources for assistance with PeopleSoft Student Administration System as well as Hyperion, FirstLogic and Informatica.
InfoAccess is UW Madison service that provides authorized users with access to the university's data warehouse. The service includes software needed to access the data, a query and reporting tool, supporting documentation and customer support.
