The Change Requester does initial customer notification. The Change Manager does Public Notification via the DoIT Outage Page, or via DoIT Communications. Customers are notified of resolution of a change via the status given on the DoIT Outage Page, or via DoIT Communications.
For single department changes involving network changes, this notification will be written and sent by appropriate SNCC staff members, who will be alerted of the need by managers approving changes, with help from engineering staff as appropriate. For changes affecting multiple departments, SNCC will still send the change notification, but the Manager of SNCC, or the Change Manager, should review change notification text drafts.
