Learn@UW - DOME Variables Controlling Gradebook Display

In the DOME tool, the variables controlling the display of the gradebook are under

Config Variable Browser --> All Variables --> Tools --> Grades --> GradesList .

All of the variables mentioned are one of three types. These can be seen in the DOME on the right hand frame when a variable is selected.

1. "User": These variables specify defaults for any new users that are created and can see the gradebook. Most of these variables can be overridden in the "Personal Display Options" section of "Grades Setup" in the Grades tool.

2. "User-OrgUnit": These variables specify defaults for each user for each gradebook. As above, this only applies to new users and new gradebooks, not existing ones.

3. "OrgUnit": These variables are specific to the particular gradebook in question. Most of these variables can be overridden under the "Course Display Options" section of "Grades Setup" in the Grades tool.
