Learn@UW - Permissions Required to Change Grade Calculations Options

This document is for Site Administrators only.

This document describes which permissions need to be turned on to enable the ability to change grade calculation options in a course.

In order for an instructor to change the options on the Grades Calculation page (such as changing from the Points to the Weighted system), the following permissions must be turned on for the Instructor role at the Course Offering level under Grades:

• Manage final grade properties
• Edit course settings

If an instructor sees that the options on Grades Calculation page are greyed out, then the above permissions need to be turned on.
