Learn@UW - Setting up Organization Wide Surveys

This document describes how to set up an organization wide survey.

To set up an organization wide survey, create a new navigation link that links to the survey. The link has the following form:

https://Campus.courses.wisconsin.edu/d2l/lms/survey/user/attempt/survey_start_frame.d2l?ou=OrgId&si=SurveyId

• Campus is to be replaced with the campus code (e.g., uwmad for Madison or uwsp for Stevens Point).
• OrgId is to be replaced with the course ou number.
• SurveyID is to be replaced with the Survey ID number.

You may use the following procedure below to obtain the Survey ID number for a survey:

1. From the My Home (or Course Home) page, right-click on Surveys and click on "Open in a new Window" or "Open in a new Tab".

2. Next, from the "Survey List", click on the survey you would like to share.

3. Now, in the address bar, you will notice the at the end of the URL, right before the ou number, the Survey ID number. For example, the URL may end in "&si=98765&ou=123456" in which case the Survey ID is 98765.
