My UW-Madison - WISCareers

The WISCareers module provides a link to a career development and exploration website that allows individuals to look at occupations, colleges, graduate schools, write resumes, maintain an electronic portfolio, etc.

The module is found on the Work Record tab in My UW.

The module links to the WISCareers website. Individuals with existing WISCareer accounts may log in at this page. To create a new account, click the "Create a New WISCareers Account" link on the WISCareers page.

Problem Diagnosis:

1. Individual does not see the module

   Try to place the module on the page.

   Click the ‘Add/Remove content’ link under ‘Customize this page’ in the upper left box of the tab to add the module to the page. See My UW-Madison - Customizing Modules, Content, and Layout for information on adding modules.

2. The module does not appear to work properly.

   Clicking the 'WISCareers' link should open a new window with the WISCareers website. If the module does not work, it could be that the application or 3rd party system hosting it is unavailable. Please contact the Help Desk at 608-264-4357 (HELP).

3. Module shows a portal error message

   For common portal error messages, please see doc My UW-Madison - Error: " The Channel timed out" or "The channel failed to render".
