Internet Explorer 7 - Turning Off Clear Type

This document explains how to turn off clear type in Internet Explorer 7. Clear type allows for improved font display on LCD displays, however some users find it difficult to read.

By default, clear type is enabled in Internet Explorer 7. To turn off clear type, do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.



3. Select the Advanced tab, then scroll down to Multimedia.
4. Uncheck the box labeled Always use Clear Type for HTML.
5. Click Apply, then OK.



6. The change will take effect after closing and reopening Internet Explorer 7.
