The State Capitol hosts the Governor's office, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the cambers and offices of both the Senate and the Assembly, and the Capitol Police. The modern building was designed by architect George B. Post (1837 - 1913) in 1906. For a complete history of the Wisconsin State Capitol, visit
