How do I get computing help in Science Hall?

Computing help in Science Hall

Follow this link to request help through IRM:

http://sciencehall.wisc.edu/irm/users/helper-index.php

On this page look down to the 3rd option "OR, you can select the type of request:" and from the drop down choose a category that your request most likely fits into. Then click the "continue with your request" button.

On the next page fill out the form that comes up in the following way:

A) Set priority-how important is it to you that the problem is fixed immediately? This will help us refine our priority assignments.

B) Name & email required. There is an optional space for additional email addresses.

D) Tell us about the problem. Be as specific as possible. The more info you give here, the better the IT staff can help you with your problem.

E) How and where can we reach you for more information and/or to arrange a time to work on your job. If an IT staff member comes to you and you are not there, is there someone else who can give them access to your office/computer?

NOTE: Difficulty connecting with users who report problems is the number one obstacle to completing a job quickly. Any information you can give that will expedite communication and staff access will help them solve your IT problem efficiently.
