Voice Mail - Password Reset

This document explains how to change the password to a voice mailbox.

Resetting Your Voice Mail Password

If you know your password, log into your voice mail. Select the following:

• (4) for 'personal options'
• (2) for 'administrative options'
• (1) for 'voice mail options'
• (1) for 'passwords'. Follow the prompts.

Resetting a Forgotten Voice Mail Password

• Requests for voice mail password resets must be made in writing due to privacy regulations. Contact Voice Services at voice.services@doit.wisc.edu.

  Please provide the following information in your email:

  • Voice mail phone number
  • Name associated with the account



• If the mailbox is in your name Voice Services will reset your password and send you a temporary password via email.

• If the voice mailbox is in someone else’s name (you "inherited" it), the voice mailbox will be deleted and rebuilt in your name at no charge. You will receive a temporary password and set-up instructions for your new voice mailbox via email.
