Enabled Voice Mail - evmDelivery

You can configure the following options in evmDelivery:
Return Email
Enter the email address you would like EVM to use as the FROM address for any voice mail messages you leave.
Voice

These three buttons (All, Urgent and None) allow you to choose which voice
messages you want delivered.
Email 1/2/3
- Enter the email address where you want new messages to be sent.
- If the same address is used for evmDelivery and evmNotify you may receive two Emails for every voice message.
- Email addresses can be made inactive by unchecking the Active box.
Attachment Format
- The default evmDelivery attachment format is GSM, compatible with most standard sound players.
- If your player will not handle that format, you may change the format to MP3 (preferred) or WAV via configuration of evmDelivery.
- File sizes for a 1 minute message are: GSM = 99k, MP3 = 256k and WAV = 1 meg.
Fax
- This option will allow you to receive fax documents as an electronic attachment
to email.
- Your mailbox number can be used as your fax number.
- If you answer a fax call transfer the fax to 5-6600, enter your 5 digit mailbox number and press #. For more information, see http://www.doit.wisc.edu/telephone/voice_mail/tutorial/index.asp.
- Fax messages are sent as attachments in a .TIF format compatible with standard
viewers.
- To send any printed piece of paper electronically, fax the document to your
mailbox. The document will be delivered to your email inbox. From there, you
can forward the document to anyone with an email address.
Deliver All Messages Since
- This field shows the date/time stamp from the last message EVM delivered.
- If you want all messages in your voice mail box archived to email, change the
date to that of the oldest voice mail message.
- The next time the application looks at the mailbox, ALL the messages will be
considered ?new? and will be delivered to email (as individual emails).
Saving Changes and Exiting
- Be sure to press the Submit Changes button when you are finished updating your
EVM for Octel configuration! Failure to do so will result in the loss of all entered changes.
- Press the Logout button to completely logout of the EVM for Octel configuration
application. Doing so will ensure that no one can access your configuration settings.
Email Message Format
evmDelivery sends an email to the configured email address when a voice mail message is left. A copy of the message is attached to the email. Voice messages are sent as .WAV, .MP3 or .GSM attachments, compatible with standard players. If the voice message was previously forwarded, you will receive two attachments, one with the original voice message and a second with the forwarding comments. The subject line of the email includes the mailbox number.

Note: Above example was created in Mozilla Thunderbird. The email message format will vary with the client used.
The body of the email indicates the length of the attached voice message and the current status of your voice mail box (total number of new and old messages). Since the voice mail message has been attached to the email, you may forward the email to others.
Listen to Messages
Double-click the attachment to open the file in a sound playback application.

Deleting Messages
- When evmDelivery sends the voice mail message to you as an attachment, the
original message still resides in your Octel mailbox.
- evmDelivery allows you to delete the message on the Octel server by using the
evmDelivery email message.
- Click on the link Delete this message from my voice mail box.
- Your browser will open. Enter your EVM PIN in the space provided. Press ENTER. NOTE: On some email desktop clients like Eudora and Thunderbird, the link may not display or work properly if the client is configured to display messages in plain text. See Enabled Voice Mail - Current Problems, Bugs and Solutions
- Click the Continue button to close the browser window.
