This document explains Enabled VoiceMail (EVM) problems, bugs and solutions:
When find me is enabled and a caller presses 1 during the VoiceMail greeting, the evmFind me feature puts the caller on hold while it calls the configured telephone number to reach the subscriber. When the subscriber answers the call, evmFind Me plays a prompt instructing the subscriber to press any key to accept the call, or # to reject.
This bug has been traced to a fundamental behavior of the phone system which can't be changed. SBC and Mutare are considering options for a possible solution, but it's unlikely that it will be solved. Make sure when you configure find me to call out to a shared phone, anyone who might answer is instructed to reject the call by pressing # before hanging up. If you know you will be in an area with poor cell phone reception, don't use FindMe to transfer calls to your cell phone.
When you archive a VoiceMail message it is saved for no longer than 14 days. If you choose to re-archive the message once the initial archival period has elapsed, you are then sent a new evmDelivery message.
When using a desktop client, such as Eudora or Thunderbird, the Delete and View/Edit EVM settings links within an evmDelivery message will not work if the client is configured to display messages in plain text format. Clicking on the link produces no response at all.
