WiscCal - Service Overview

This document gives an overview of WiscCal. It is divided into the following sections:

Background

WiscCal is a fully functional, campus-wide calendaring and scheduling application. WiscCal provides a broad set of features to help everyone at the UW manage their time both individually and in collaboration with other university people.

Notable features of WiscCal include:

• Personal calendars (including daily notes, tasks, and events).
• Meetings (that you can schedule with other WiscCal users).
• Optional calendars of UW campus events (including performances, UW-sports, etc.)
• Tasks management.
• DoIT Help Desk support.

Support Conditions

The DoIT Help Desk Provides support for WiscCal users under these conditions:

• All servers/databases/network infrastructure are behaving normally.
• User is using My UW-Madison Supported Browser and Platform.
• User has JavaScript enabled.

Availability

WiscCal is available to all UW-Madison students, faculty and staff. WiscCal is an integral component of My UW-Madison and is available as a basic service to all portal users.
