WiscCal - Client and Server Limits FAQ

This document explains some of the limits set within WiscCal.

The following attributes have been configured for WiscCal. Most pertain to both web and native clients and some are specific:

Can I attach a file to a meeting request and if so, what is the maximum size?

Yes. The maximum size of an attachment is 45MB. Note: Only one file can be attached to any one specific meeting. Note as well, that there are at present NO anti-virus processes in place for such attachments.

Is there a quota on my calendar agenda?

There is no option in our administrative system for assigning a quota to a user's account. Thus there is no size limit for your entire calendar agenda.

What is maximum number of mail recipients an entry can be sent to?

1000.

What is the maximum number of repeating entries?

1000. Note: If you are syncing with your pda, this limitation will also be counted.

What is the maximum amount of days a reminder can be set to?

1000.

What is maximum amount of agendas which can be viewed in group view?

20.

What is the maximum amount of search results returned?

3000.

What is maximum amount of agenda windows opened (native client)?

30.

What is maximum amount of address book entries (native client)?

6000.

Can I delete all of the content in my calendar and go back to a fresh calendar?

The WiscCal application does not have an option to delete your entire calendar. WiscCal techs can perform this task by removing your access rights to WiscCal, and then subsequently restoring them. If you wish to have this done, call the DoIT Help Desk at 264-HELP (4357). A phone agent will collect relevant information and send your request on to the WiscCal techs.
