WiscList - Allowing or Forbidding Non-Members to Send to List
WiscList list administrators can configure a list to allow non-members to post.
To allow non-members to post to your list:
- Log into the WiscList ListManager interface. (See: WiscList - Logging into WiscList)
- Verify the list you want to work with is selected. (See: WiscList - Working with Multiple Lists)
- Click the Utilities button on the left side of the interface to open the Utilities submenu.

- Highlight List Settings, then highlight Discussion Group Features, then select Security

- Set Reject posts from non-members to No, anyone can contribute to the list if you wish to allow non-members to post.
Or, set Reject posts from non-members to Yes, only members are allowed to contribute to the list if you only want members to post to the list.

- Click Save.
A Note About Spam
Allowing non-members to post to your list will make it vulnerable to spamming, so you should take care not to place the list's e-mail address on any public site where spam crawlers can obtain it. Although WiscList filters out the majority of incoming spam, this is an important measure to take to prevent unwanted list traffic.
