WiscMail / WiscMail Plus - Expire Preferences for Junk Mail Folder

This document explains how to set your Junk Mail filter delete/expunge preference to delete mail from this folder after a certain amount of days.

You must have your Junk Mail filter turned on, view instructions at http://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=2368 to verify, before you can set your Expire Folder Preferences. By default, if you have this turned on, mail that is older than 15 days is automatically deleted. This process is run every day at 12:01am.

You can change this expire rule to anything between 1 and 99 days.

To change this setting, do the following:

  1. Log into https://admin.wiscmail.wisc.edu/.
  2. Click on Set Folder Expire Preferences button.
  3. Enter the amount of days to keep mail in the desired text box.
  4. Click on the Submit button.
The next time the delete process is run, any email (including attachments) older than the days specified will be deleted from the Junk Mail folder.
