Published Class Section Mode: Implications during the pandemic (L&S)

Course sections should be taught in the mode listed in the timetable. This published information allows students to make enrollment decisions that meet their needs and preferences. Sections labeled “remote-only” or “online” may not have in-person meetings, in-person exams, or in-person requirements.

Instructors of in-person or hybrid sections do not need to also teach remotely on student request.  When a student enrolls in an in-person section, they are committing to being physically present in the classroom. Providing quality learning experiences in dual mode to both audiences is difficult and we do not have the required classroom infrastructure or support staff to do it.

Further questions about course mode? Please consult with your department chair or department batch lead.
