HIPAA O365 Controls - How do I auto-forward my @wisc.edu email to another domain?
As an end user within the UW-Madison Health Care Component it may not initially be clear why you aren't able to set an auto-forward. This ability has been restricted to prevent users from setting auto-forwards to unapproved domains.
Procedure to request the ability to set an auto-forward to an approved domain:
- Contact your HIPAA Security Coordinator with your request.
- Your HIPAA Security Coordinator will add you to an exclusion group that will permit you to set a forward.
- If your IT support group has delegated access to your mailbox they may also be able to set the forward for you.
- Within the allotted time frame, configure the auto-forward to an approved domain.
If you need to make changes to your auto-forward settings, start this process again.
