SMPH Post-Doctoral Stipend Rates 2024-25 (Effective 06/30/2024)

*The NIH released a correction to stipend levels for FY 2024 on April 23, 2024. Updated stipend levels are below. 

Departments can appoint/reappoint Research Associates between the minimum of the NRSA level and 120% of the NRSA level without additional justification.

  • Rates less than the minimums of the NRSA level require justification and prior approval
  • Rates greater than 120% of the NRSA minimum require justification and prior approval by Dean’s Office
  • Rates greater than 133% of the NRSA level (maximum) require highly unique circumstances
  • Consider equity within your unit when determining rates
