Trend Micro - Renewing Your Annual Subscription
This article describes the process of renewing the annual Trend Micro license on a personally owned device. For information on whether you are eligible for Trend Micro software, see the Recommended Antivirus Solutions document.
Licensing for Trend Micro security software must be renewed annually. Users can obtain a new license key from the campus software library 10 days prior to the expiration of the previous year's subscription. See below for instructions on obtaining a new license key and entering it into Trend Micro software.
- Navigate to the campus software library and select Trend Micro from the security software category.
Note: You will become eligible for a new Trend Micro license 10 days prior to the expiration of the previous license.
- Click the Trend Micro Maximum security button and agree to the license terms. You should receive an email in the next hour from wiscorder@doit.wisc.edu containing your one-year license key.
- Now that you have your license key, follow the directions in Trend Micro's documentation here to enter your license key into your Trend Micro Product.
- Your Trend Micro subscription is renewed for another year! Repeat the above steps when the earth makes another full trip around the sun. Until then, enjoy the protection offered by your Trend Micro product.
