ECMS - Perceptive Experience error "Unable to load views. An error occurred communicating with the server." in Google Chrome

This document provides steps to address the error "Unable to load views. An error occurred communicating with the server." when using Perceptive Experience in Google Chrome web browser "unable to load views: "an error occurred communicating with the server"

If a user receives an error message "Unable to load views. An error occurred communicating with the server.", with an error behind it "Document Status. Unable to locate the following document" when trying to access a document in the Imaging system's Perceptive Experience web interface via the Google Chrome web browser, the error is often related to corruption of the user profile in Google Chrome.

You can confirm the issue by:

  • Successfully opening the full original document link in a different browser, and
  • Successfully opening the full original document link in Google Chrome while logged in as a guest

Both of the troubleshooting steps above also function as work-arounds.
