This course will be taught in accordance with 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines.
The course is intended for health care providers. Providers will learn CPR skills for helping victims of all ages with respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest or choking. This course includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). Completion of the course offers a CPR card with an expiration date of two years.
This course is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course is appropriate for physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician assistants, residents, fellows, medical and nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, other allied health personnel, and police officers.
To cancel your registration you must call the Emergency Education Center at 608-263-7259 at least three business days before the start of your scheduled class. If you cancel within the accepted timeframe, you will receive a credit for the full amount. If you cancel fewer than three business days before the start of your scheduled class, you will not receive a refund or credit. In the event that the Emergency Education Center must cancel a class due to low enrollment or because of an ill instructor, a makeup date will be provided or your payment can be refunded.
