What to do if a computer or A/V equipment is not working in a classroom in the Computer Sciences building for Department of Geography or Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies
L&S ITS (GNP IT) supported classrooms and computer labs: CS 1358, CS 1366, CS 1368, CS 1370
- The best support is to be proactive. We encourage you to test the equipment before your first lecture, and make sure you know how to use the equipment in the room.
- If you experience a problem during class, please don't leave it for the next person. Contact the GNP IT Help Desk via email (gnp-helpdesk@wisc.edu), or fill out a help desk ticket (opens in new window).
- If you need immediate assistance, you can also check if a member of the support team is available. Offices are located in the Computer Sciences building, unit 2, 2nd floor - rooms 2290, 2292, and 2296 by the unit 2 elevators. You can also call the GNP IT Help Desk at 608-262-8111.
General Assignment Classrooms in Computer Sciences: CS 1221, CS 1240, CS 1257, CS 1263, and CS 1325
- General Assignment Classrooms are supported by Classroom Support & Planning, part of Facilties Planning & Management.
- For technical support in these classrooms, call the AV Help Desk at 608-890-4900. Each room also has a phone at the main podium that will directly connect you to the AV Help Desk.
