Guidelines for video/photoshoot participants
Guidelines for participants in photoshoots for the School of Human Ecology marketing materials.
Thank you for agreeing to participate in this marketing video/photoshoot! We really appreciate your contribution to the School of Human Ecology. In order to represent the school to the best of our ability, here are a few “Do’s and Dont’s” to consider when choosing what to wear.
Do:
- Wear clothing that you feel yourself in.
- Focus on being comfortable, but be conscious not to wear overly casual or revealing clothing.

- Bring your backpack, laptop, and other materials you would normally bring to class.
- We want the shoot to be as authentic as possible!

- Wear plain, solid colors or simple patterns.
- Wear UW–Madison branded clothing. It is never a bad idea to promote Bucky!
- Wear layers or bring options of items to change into.
- If you are feeling doubtful about an outfit choice, don’t hesitate to bring another option!
Don't:
- Don’t wear anything you wouldn’t wear to a job interview, including clothing that shows a lot of skin.
- Dressing business casual is never a bad idea!

- Don’t wear loungewear or clothing that makes you look like you just woke up or went to the gym.
- This includes sweatpants, tight leggings, ripped clothing, athleisure, worn-out clothing, etc. We want you to put your best foot forward!

- Don’t wear clothing with any large, obvious branding or the logo or name of other schools.

- Don’t wear clothing with small, intricate patterns, as these can often photograph oddly.
