Accessibility & usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist with the HIPAA training course.

Color contrast barriers may be difficult for users with low vision or who are color blind

Several areas of the course have low contrast text, for example, the navigation links on the left-hand side of the page. Contrast issues can be also found at the bottom of the page where contact information is posted.

Screen reader barriers may be difficult for users who are blind or have low vision and navigate via screen reader or other assistive technology

Some of the alt text is unable to be read by the screen reader because it is hidden. This is unreadable content for screen reader users.

Keyboard navigation barriers may be difficult for users with motor disabilities who navigate via keyboard or other assistive technology

When using the keyboard, users are forced to skip over certain choices. Specifically, the keyboard does not bring them to the second response when there are only two choices.
