Student accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Screen reader barriers may be difficult for people with visual disabilities

Some content is not screen readable and so those navigating using a screen reader will be unable to access this information. Some links aren’t read as clickable to a screen reader user making that content unreachable for people who are blind or have severe low vision. Show and hide buttons do not announce information opening and closing to a screen reader user. Some text is not readable by a screen reader.

Color contrast barriers may be difficult for people with visual disabilities

Some job card text has low contrast and is difficult for someone with low vision or color blindness to read.

Keyboard navigation barriers may be difficult for people with motor disabilities

Keyboard focus isn’t visible or is lost on some portions of the webpage making it difficult for people with motor disabilities to know where they are on the page.
