Accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist within the UW Guide iOS mobile app.

Color contrast accessibility barriers may cause difficulty for people with visual disabilities

Text label colors and background colors may be too low contrast for people with low vision or color blindness to read or distinguish.

Screen reader accessibility barriers may cause difficulty for people with visual disabilities

Some functions are not perceivable for a person navigating via screen reader, making it difficult or impossible to have access to certain information. This includes buttons that read as text and are not operable via screen reader, and links that are missing descriptive link text. Additionally, some images in the app are missing alternative text, including pictures and logos.
