Accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Screen reader accessibility barriers may impact users who are blind or have low vision

  • Required form fields have no screen reader indication of its label.

  • Tooltip content is not reachable via screen readers.

  • Modal window content is not reachable until navigating all page content.

  • Missing “Skip to Main Content” link.

Keyboard navigation barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people with motor disabilities

Tooltip content, such as clarifying how to complete the field, is not reachable via keyboard.

Low color contrast may limit accessibility for users with color blindness or low vision

Multiple elements of the sign-up form have low color contrast, including light blue or red text on a gray background. The log-in page has low color contrast (light gray text on a white background).

Magnification barriers may limit accessibility for users who have low vision

  • The page content does not reflow at 125% magnification or higher, so users have to scroll horizontally.

  • Multiple elements are cut off when magnified over 200%.

    • Navigation menu text

    • Main content blocked by left side navigation panel

    • Main content blocked by fixed header
