Tips for upgrading 100Meg Half Duplex connections

  • Contact your local IT support to see if the device on the port can run at a higher speed and set the speed to 100Meg Full Duplex or 1Gig.
  • Use EdgeConf and set the speed to 100Meg Full Duplex or 1Gig if the device on the port can run at 100Meg Full Duplex or 1Gig.
  • Get the cabling upgraded if the cabling is CAT3.
  • Have the cabling checked if the device on the port is supposed to be able to 100Meg Full Duplex or 1Gig and it is connecting at 100Meg Half Duplex.
  • Upgrade the NIC in the device connected to the port to 100Meg Full Duplex or 1Gig.
