Missing Programs or Folders within the Programs folder

In the rare occasion, there might be some programs or folders missing from the start menu. You may use this method to refresh and restore them.
    1. If any of the programs are missing from the Start menu, open the start menu, and under the alphabet M, you should be able to find Microsoft App-V 5.0 Client UI. A quicker way to find this is to hit Windows key (app-v client) + S and type in "Microsoft" for the Microsoft App-V program to show up.

Once you open the application, you should see a window like this:

    1. Navigate to Virtual Apps by using the button in the header. This should trigger a refresh (you will see an animation on the refreshing arrow). This process can take a few minutes.

    3. Once the refresh is complete, you will see the following screen with a list of apps.

    4. Next, navigate back to Overview and select the 'Update' icon. This will sync your applications with the App-V Publishing server. This process also takes a few minutes, and you will be able to tell it is complete when the box's animation is complete.
