Service Network Status Tool

Basic info on the Service Network Status tool

This tool is useful for checking on the status of service networks (eg. building automation, camera, etc)

The main page can be found [here] (it will take a moment to load as it gathers data)

You should only be able to view the status of networks for which you are a Wiscnic contact.  (Admin-c or Tech-c)

There are two tabs: a building tab and a service tab.  This is just a way to organize the data differently to make the network you are looking for easy to find.

If you click on a prefix you will see results which consists of  info (ping,mac,device,port,infoblox,etc) for every address in that prefix for which we have data. (again, a delay for data gathering)

The results also have an Interfaces section which links to ShowSwitch for edgeconfable ports.  Link status is green/red for up/down and if admin down greyed out.

If you hand edit the URL, you can see similar results for non-service networks that you have access to:
