This document explains access changes that the HRS system performs automatically in response to job changes.
HRS automatically makes changes to HRS access in reaction to certain job changes. Understanding these changes can help anticipate them so users don't unexpectedly lose access.
- If a person's position ends - including if they have transferred into a new position - HRS automatically removes all roles from that employee record on the first day that the position is inactive.
- If user is transferring and will need access for the new position, wait for the current position to end before submitting the new request.
- If a person's UDDS changes within the same position, HRS automatically resets the person's row security permissions list to UW_DP_DEFAULT, which is limited to the position's subdepartment.
