This document summarizes the accessibility and usability barriers identified during testing as well as how to get help.

Accessibility and usability barriers 

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Screen reader accessibility barriers

  • Navigating by heading structure may give not consistent results for navigating content.

  • Not all status and state changes are announced.

    • When navigating between the two main pages there is no audio confirmation.

    • When using the “View” button on the reports page there is no audio confirmation.

  • Some interactive elements are not announced or actionable.

    • Search results on the table in the Student Finder are used to sort results but are not announced as an interactive element.

    • The print summary button is not accessible to screen readers.

    • The delete button for an advisor added to the student summary page is not accessible to screen readers.

Keyboard accessibility barriers

  • The print summary function is not accessible keyboard.

  • Users can be trapped in the filter options of the reports page.

Color contrast accessibility barriers

  • There are contrast barriers around some blue buttons that make it hard to recognize where focus is.

  • The reporting dialogs do not have focus states for interactive elements.

Magnification barriers

  • The application can support magnification up to 200% but text space is very tight.

  • After 200% the application does not support magnification.
