Printing (macOS) - Adding a Copy Code to a Sharp Copier

Follow these steps to enter your copy code for a Sharp copier.

These steps require that you have first mapped the copier to your computer using an appropriate driver, and you must be connected to a campus network or VPN. See Printing (macOS) - Mapping a Departmental Printer with a Driver for more information. Contact the TechZone if you need assistance.

  1. Open any application you use to print, such as Microsoft Word.
  2. Start printing from the application. Usually, you can do this from File > Print...
  3. If there is a Show Details button, click it.
  4. Locate the dropdown menu that contains the Job Handling option. Select that option.
  5. Select the Authentication tab.
  6. Click User Number to enable entry.
  7. Add your user number, or copy code, to this field, then click the lock lock button button.
  8. Click Print to send the job and save your settings.
