This is a copy of the laminated instructions placed in the presentation cart as well as taped to the wall.

Presentation Room Procedures

Room 120 Middleton Building

These procedures must be adhered to when using the Middleton Presentation Room (Room 120). Failure to adhere to procedures may result in loss of Presentation Room privileges.

Presenting using a personal device:

  1. Use the wall mounted “SCREEN” controls to lower the screen fully. After the screen is lowered, power on the projector and wait ~15 seconds using the “PROJECTOR” controls.

  2. There are 2 methods to connect your device to the projector.

    1. VGA cable, marked with a green pipe cleaner.

      1. If using VGA, sound from your device will not play over the room speakers.
    2. HDMI cable, marked with a red pipe cleaner.

  3. Converter dongles can be found on the shelf beneath the sliding drawer. Attach dongle to end of selected cable if needed. Please return dongles to said shelf after use.
  4. Change the projector input using the “SOURCE” button on the “PROJECTOR” panel

    1. Set the input to “Input-A” if you are using the green-marked VGA cable

    2. Set the input to “Input-B” if you are using the red-marked HDMI cable.

  5. Regardless of connection method, plug the chosen cable into your device.

    1. If needed, configure the display settings on your device to allow for projection of its display.

  6. You are now able to present using your personal device.

Clean up:

  1. Unplug your device.

  2. Return dongle, if used.

  3. Coil and return cable to the inside of the cart.
  4. Turn off the projector and raise the screen.

  5. Gather all belongings before locking the door and returning the key.
