Premiere Pro Project Troubleshooting
How to Troubleshoot Problems Opening Up Premiere Pro Project
Check for Old Auto-Save
1. Open up project folder
2. Click on "Auto-Save" folder to open up the auto-saved project file
3. File menu > Save as to a new project in your main project folder. Name and date the new recovered project so it’s clear which version you’re working on.
Import Original Project/Main Sequence on New Project File
1. Create a brand new project file in the same folder
2. Import the original project file onto the new premiere project file
3. Select "Import Entire Project" and click "OK"
4. Everything from the original project file should pop up on the new premiere project file
Importing Just the Main Sequence
1. Make new premiere project file in the same folder
2. Import the original project file onto the new premiere project file
3. Select "Import Selected Sequences" and click "OK"
4. Select the sequence(s) to be imported and click "OK"
5. Only the files and footage used in the sequences will pop up
Use Premiere Project Downgrader to match the version of premiere pro on Hamel computers
Use Premiere Project Downgrader to match the version of premiere pro on Hamel computers if edited with a newer version of the premiere pro on a computer outside of Vilas.
