Accessibility & usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Magnification and interface barriers create difficulties perceiving information for some users, such as people with low vision.

Pages do not re-flow when the page is magnified 200-400%, decreasing readability and causing horizontal scroll. Several items throughout the web pages do not have strong color contrast. These items include links in footers, within main content, and data links. Captcha instructions and focus indicators in the navigation bar also have low color contrast.

Significant barriers for individuals using screen readers and keyboard navigation to enhance accessibility, such as people with low vision and blindness.

Videos do not have closed captions. Screen reader users cannot expand drop down menus. Several items lack alt text and descriptive alt text for images that enhance main content. Heading levels are empty, missing, and skipped. Some items have repetitive outputs that create additional keyboard navigation steps. Navigation can be unpredictable on some pages.
