Background:

On October 1, 2022, JIRA upgraded to 9.2. As a result, the Assign to me button in the pop out window does not work as expected.


When creating a brand new JIRA record, a pop out web form appears. The user fills in the web form, however, when the user selects Assign to me in this window, the user's name doe snot appear as the assignee.

The image below shows the Create issue pop out screen against the JIRA Software screen. The red box indicates the Assign to me button that does not work as expected.

The Work-around

Navigate to the issue you just created and click on the Edit button. The Edit issue pop up screen will appear. Click on the Assign to me button and your name will appear in the Assignee field.
