Research-NCBI and SciENcv: Tip Sheets, User Guides, and Links

Researchers who have (or expect to have) grant funding from NIH or NSF will find these resources useful. This page includes resources for: i) using NCBI to manage publications and meet federal agency public access requirements; ii) using SciENcv to create compliant Biosketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support documents; iii) seeking help from the Public Access Service (PAS) to ensure publication compliance

About NCBI and SciENcv

Ryan Schryver, from the UW Public Access Service (PAS), maintains resources for navigating NCBI and using My Bibliography to track and manage published papers. NCBI utilizes account linking to quickly retrieve PubMed citations and ensure compliance with Public Access policies of federal funders.

NCBI is also the platform for SciENcv, which will soon be the only acceptable system from which Biosketches and Current and Pending (Other) Support documents can be generated for grant applications to NIH and NSF later in 2023 (with other federal agencies not far behind).
