VPN - Connecting to the Biochemistry VPN

This document explains how to set up and connect to the Biochemistry VPN.

Connecting to the Biochemistry Network with the Biochemistry VPN

Some services, including ResearchDrive, Shared Drive, license servers, and lab servers require a connection to the Biochemistry network. Users in the UW-Madison Biochemistry Department can use the Biochem VPN (biochem.vpn.wisc.edu) using the instructions below.

To use the Biochemistry VPN, you must be a member of a Biochemistry lab group. If you need to be added to a group, have your PI send a request to Biochem IT (see Get Help from Biochemistry IT!)

Note: Many UW-Madison services, including Cisco VoIP, ResearchDrive, and Shared Drive, can be accessed using the UW-Madison VPN (uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu). Any active UW-Madison student, staff, and faculty can use the UW-Madison VPN. (See WiscVPN GlobalProtect (All OS) - Installing, Connecting, and Uninstalling)
