Issue

Graders may see a red text box with the following error message when submitting a student’s grade in Canvas SpeedGrader for an Atomic Assessments assignment.

Network error: Response not successful. Received status code 401

This can be caused by Atomic Assessments not being authorized on your account. 

Affects

This affects graders in courses using Atomic Assessments for assignments in Canvas. The issue occurs in Speedgrader when selecting the Send to Gradebook button after grading the assignment.

Workaround

You will need to authorize Atomic Assessments for your account. Please see Atomic Assessments - Enabling Atomic Assessments in Canvas [UW-Madison] for instructions, and follow steps 6 through 8.
