• April 18, 2024: ISS stops accepting new I-20 applications for students outside the country
• May 13, 2024: Auto-matriculation ends, and backdating and manual matriculation begins
• May 20, 2024: First day of classes for Summer 2024 (4-week session)
• May 31, 2024: ISS stops accepting applications for transfer I-20s
• June 3, 2024: Last day to recommend domestic applicants for Summer 2024
• June 3, 2024: Application turned off (no new applications can be submitted) for Summer 2024 term at 4:30pm CT.
• June 17, 2024: First day of classes for Summer 2024 (8-week session)
• June 17, 2024: The Summer 2025 application will be turned on

Fall 2024

• June 17, 2024: Last day to recommend international applicants for Fall 2024

• August 16, 2024: Last day to recommend domestic applicants for Fall 2024
• August  16, 2024: Application turned off (no new applications can be submitted) for Fall 2024 at 4:30pm CT.
• August 20, 2024: ISS stops accepting applications for transfer I-20s
• August 26, 2024: Auto-matriculation ends, and backdating and manual matriculation begins
• September 4, 2024: First day of classes for Fall 2024
• September 4, 2024: Application for Fall 2025 term turned on

How deadlines are determined (alphabetical order)

• Application turned off (no new applications can be submitted) for [term]: 3 weeks before classes begin, usually a Friday. Summer term application is turned off 2 weeks before the beginning of the DHH session.

• Application for [the next year's term] turned on: Based on the Academic Calendar.
  • For summer term, the first day of classes is based on the DHH 8-week session.
     
• Auto-matriculation begins: One week prior to the date enrollment begins.
  • Applies to both newly admitted applicants and reentry applicants.
     
• Auto-matriculation ends, and backdating and manual matriculation begins: First day of the following SIS term.
   
• Enrollment starts: Set by Registrar's Office; typically 10 weeks prior to the first day of classes.
   
• First day of classes for [term]: Based on the Academic Calendar.
   
• ISS stops accepting applications for transfer I-20s: 15 days before the first day of classes.
  • For summer term, date is based of the beginning of the DHH 8-week session.

• ISS stops accepting new I-20 applications for students outside the country: 60 days before the first day of classes begins.
  • The ISS deadline is due to the amount of processing time that is needed for visas and immigration documents for admitted students needing a new I-20.

  • For summer term, the first day of classes is based on the DHH 8-week session.
