What are Data Field Definitions (DFDs)?

Explanation and format of OnCore Data Field Definitions

Defines the numerous data fields in OnCore and includes what the field is and how it should be entered. 

The DFDs have the NEW following format. This new format allows for a single set of defections for both oncology and non-oncology data.

Specifies if the field is Required, Not required, Required in situations described, or Optional

Explanation of how the field should be entered based on the option list and institutional usage.

Differences between oncology and non-oncology will be prefaced as:

Oncology:

Non-oncology: 

Outlines the system permissions and designated role(s) to enter the data field. Briefly states if the data field is part of the periodic data quality control and if the field is necessary for the NCI Reports (oncology-related protocols only).

The data field definitions may be referenced individually through the topic of OnCore > Data Field Definitions or collated by console (i.e., PC Console > Main).

These Data Field definitions should be referenced when entering data within OnCore in the Protocol or Subject consoles or when responding to quality control queries.
