Office Copier

This installation is time consuming and can be challenging. If you are printing a large enough volume that you need to use the copier (TAs printing course documents, etc.) it is recommended you print from one of the graduate lounge printers where the copier is already set up.

You will need to download the appropriate driver from this location:

Canon Support for imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C5860i

Scroll to Software & Drivers, select your operating system, and download the UFRII driver. The full name is typicallt something like "Generic_Plus_UFRII_vX.XX_Set-up_x64.exe"

Follow the images below to set up the copier.

First, double click the file you downloaded to extract the setup files, then from the new folder double click Setup. Choose your language, and accept the license.

Select Custom in Printer Setup, then click Next.

Install only the UFR II Printer Driver, then click Next.

Check only the iR-ADV (Type 50) driver. Be sure to uncheck Auto Select, then click Next.

Change the Printer Name to SJMC Front Office Copier, and click Add Port... to add a new printer port.

Select Standard TCP/IP Port, then click OK.

Click Next.

Enter, for the IP Address, then click Next.

Click Finish.

You can change the default printer name is you wish, then click Next.

Click Start.

Click Exit.

The printer is installed, but you need to make a couple settings changes. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices  > Printers & scanners, click the copier, then click  Printer properties, and select the Device Settings tab.

In Other Settings make sure User Management is set to Off. Click Apply/OK.
(If you are prompted to enter a user ID when you print it is because you did not complete this step.
