Web Hosting - Web Site Monitoring
DoIT Web Hosting monitors the servers for which it has operational responsibility. This monitoring is done through several applications locally and remotely, that send alarms and notifications that can be monitored 24x7 by system operators.
The DoIT Network Control Center has relevant contact information and handling documents for when alarms and notifications are observed for the Web Hosting Service.
DoIT Web Hosting has global monitoring in place for critical services on our platforms but we do not specifically monitor each customer's website.
These services include:
- Web Servers HTTP/HTTPS
- PHP, ASP.NET, Java, RoR, Node.js, etc.
- Plesk (Web Hosting Automation Software)
- NetID Login
- TLS/SSL Certificate renewals
- MySQL
- Oracle
There are many website monitoring services available that you are free to use and we can also work with customers to craft some basic monitors provided by DoIT's Monitoring Team
In many cases, outages may occur that are core dependencies of DoIT Web Hosting, such as power, network, storage, compute, etc.
If a campus outage or specific outage to DoIT Web Hosting is identified it will be posted and status provided on:
