AIMS Legacy Customers moving away from AIMS VPN

The process to move away from AIMS VPN (aims.vpn.wisc.edu) has begun. It will first impact new computer deployments only. This does not impact Housing Staff, Union Staff and UHS Staff as they never used the AIMS VPN.

As of June 8th, new computers deployed for AIMS legacy customers, will no longer have the AIMS VPN (aims.vpn.wisc.edu) as an option in global protect.

AIMS customers, issued new computers, will use the UWMadison VPN context (uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu) and will login using their netID. They will not use their AIMS login credentials.

Note: There will be a process and communication plan for customers with existing portal setup pointing at the AIMS VPN, that timeline is still in the planning stage.

Currently, this only impacts new computer deployments.
