General Info Course Options Request Training

Non-oncology OnCore Training is provided through Canvas. Once you submit an Access Request Form you will receive information on how to access these courses.

Oncology OnCore Training is provided by UW Carbone Cancer Center's (UWCCC's) Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO) and Disease Oriented Teams (DOTs).

Most OnCore training is role-based.

New and current users may request training at any time.

On-demand learning is available for some courses.

Courses available include:
  • Introduction to OnCore
  • Subject Management
  • Protocol Management
  • Financial Management
  • Invoicing and Milestones

To request training regardless if you are a new or current user, submit the Systems Access Request Form***

Current users: there is a place on the form to indicate that this is a change to existing systems access

*** This new link will allow you to request an account for multiple systems at one time, rather than completing individual forms.  Access can be requested for OnCore, REDCap, Florence eBinders, iLab, eLab, Participant Payments, Platform X, and SMPH DocuSign at this time.

What to Expect in Training

When an access request is submitted, the user will receive an automated email with links to self-enroll in Canvas courses that correspond to the tasks selected on the request form that they anticipate doing.

  • Oncology staff who will be trained by UWCCC's Clinical Research Education Manager do not need to self-enroll in the Canvas courses.

  • Non-oncology staff may proceed with self-enrolling in the courses listed in that email.
    • Each course explains its requirements within the content
      • There may be quizzes within the course and/or an independent exercise to complete in OnCore Training (with instructions in Canvas)

    • After completing the course requirements, the user will notify Application Support team that they have completed those requirements

    • The Application Support Team will review the completeness of the course or independent exercise as needed, provide feedback, and grant access after all requirements are met
      • Supervisor approval is requested when the access request is submitted, and must be documented before Application Support can grant the user any OnCore Production access
      • If the user needs to complete multiple courses, they will be given the corresponding permissions as they complete each course
