Remote Access EZProxy
You can access hundreds of online journals and news publications, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, O'Reilly for Higher Education, the New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, Variety magazine and the Oxford English Dictionary (see the full list), using UW Library's EZProxy tool.
The easiest way to use this library service is to install a special bookmarklet in your preferred web browser. Once you've installed the bookmarklet, you can click on it when visiting a site with a paywall to see if you can access it via UW Libraries. Click here to learn how to install the remote access bookmarklet.
When on a webpage where you need to be authorized as a UW–Madison user to receive full access (like an article page on a journal website), just click the bookmarklet. That will redirect you to a page where you can login with your NetID and gain access to licensed content. You will know the bookmarklet has worked if you check the website's URL – it should now include "ezproxy.library.wisc.edu" somewhere in the URL.
